Before my daughter was even born, I knew the theme of her nursery would be “You are my Sunshine”. I knew that she would bring so much light and happiness into my life. I have made a #MothersPromise to her that I will try my best to always help her find happiness in this life. Have you ever made a #MothersPromise to your baby? Have you ever taken the time to think about promises you want to make to your baby? If not, I encourage you to do so! Let us know what your #MothersPromise is in the comments below! We would love to hear what they are!
If you have already made a#MothersPromise, do you have something that reminds you on a regular basis what you have promised? I wanted to make something that would be a constant daily reminder for me of the promise that I had made to my daughter. I created this sunflower letter (first letter of her name) for her nursery. Sunflowers remind me of happiness. I have this hanging in her nursery so that everyday I am reminded to try my best to bring happiness into her life!
Today I am bringing you a tutorial on how to make this beautiful and easy diy floral letter. I made a video tutorial and also wrote the directions below. You can watch my video here:
Supplies:
- Cardboard
- Stencil Letter
- Pen
- Hot glue gun
- Silk flowers
- X-Acto knife
Directions:
- Place the stencil letter onto the cardboard and trace it with your pen.
- Use your X-Acto knife to cut out your letter.
- Pull the silk flowers off of the stems.
- Place the flowers where you want them and hot glue them. Try to spread the larger flower out and fill in between with the smaller flowers.
This was such an easy and fun project! I was able to finish the entire thing during one of my daughters nap times! I will keep my promise top of mind and work toward achieving that promise everyday! One way I currently do is by taking her on the swing almost everyday. We have a swing in our backyard and it is her favorite thing in the world! I try to take her on it everyday because it makes her so happy! It is such a small thing but brings her such great joy.
I also want to provide my daughter with the best possible baby products. I love the Pampers Premium Diapers available at Walmart and Walmart.com. They are a five-star skin care diaper which helps maintain healthy skin for my baby. They are top-tier and high quality. I love that they are hypoallergenic, have a wetness indicator and absorb away liner, are breathable inside and out, and have extra absorb channels. They are also so soft and hold really well! My daughter is a fast crawler these days and needs a sturdy diaper that will keep up with her! These are the diapers she is wearing in this picture.
