So I have been on a healthy kick lately trying to lose those last extra pounds of baby weight! I have had a really rough recovery after giving birth! It has been 3 months and I am only now starting to be able to work out. So I have REALLY had to watch my calorie intake. I have been focusing on healthy snacks throughout my day to help me reach my goals. I am happy to say that I have FINALLY lost my baby weight and am actually losing more weight! I contribute my success to watching what I eat and choosing healthier foods. Here are 5 of my favorite healthy & quick snacks:
1. Apple slices with PB2
Have you tried PB2 yet?! It is a much healthier type of peanut butter (85% less fat calories). It comes in powder form and you add 1 Tbsp of water for every 2 Tbsp of powder. The kind in my picture is actually PB2 with premium chocolate. You can order the regular peanut butter flavor HERE and the chocolate peanut butter flavor HERE.

2. Carrots & Hummus
I LOVE me some Sabra roasted red pepper hummus! YUM! I have tried several different types of hummus and I always felt like I was forcing myself to eat it because it is healthy…until I found the roasted red pepper kind! It is so good and you can pretty much find it at any grocery store.

This is a very easy one! I prefer Sargento light string cheese. (My picture features Sargento Sharp Cheddar but the nutrition facts are based on the light string cheese.)

4. Greek Yogurt & Fresh Fruit
I have tried several different types of greek yogurt and I hate the sour tasting kind. Yoplait Greek Yogurt has a sweet taste and I love it! It is the only yogurt that I buy. I usually get the vanilla flavor. It goes great with any fruit any one of my favorites is mango.

5. Skinny Cow Ice Cream Sandwich
If you’re like me, you have to have something sweet at night time! I have been using these ice cream sandwiches as my daily treat. It satisfies my need for chocolate and ice cream! I have tried chocolate, vanilla, and cookies n’ cream. They are all delicious! Make sure you only have one though and not the entire box! 🙂
