In our family, my boys love anything involving fruit! Juice and smoothies are the number 1 requested thing in our home, which is fine by me because I love both too! Now that it is almost back to school time, I am in need of some delicious and nutritious breakfast ideas. My life just got that much better after I made this Tart Cherry Smoothie Breakfast Bowl with R.W. Knudsen’s® Just Tart Cherry. This stuff makes our world go ’round! It adds such a great flavor to our smoothies.
These cherry smoothie bowls don’t last long at our house, and they make for the perfect jump start to the day. RW Knudsen prides themselves on being 100% Juice and undiluted, so I feel so good putting in our smoothies and giving it to my boys.
I started my base with a mix of tropical frozen fruit, I used mangos, pineapples, peaches, and strawberries (perfect combo for summer time.) Threw in some frozen banana. Added my Just Tart Cherry Juice- you can grab some at your local Walmart! Then I poured in some almond milk, or you can use any type of nut milk that you enjoy. Blend it all up and you have the perfect back to school breakfast. How easy is that? It really only takes me a few minutes to throw this together. Keep in mind you want your smoothie to be thicker than a normal smoothie so that you can eat it with a spoon.
One of my favorite parts about our tart cherry smoothie bowl is putting the toppings on. It’s all about the toppings when it comes to smoothie bowls. I love to sprinkle granola on top and then I top it with the fruit I can find in my fridge. Strawberries, kiwi, mango, bananas, coconut, and of course some cherries on the side.
The quality of Just Tart Cherry Juice is something you can’t beat, that’s why I love to have it around the house to add to things like my smoothie bowls. I use to just add normal juice to my smoothies but knowing now just how great RW Knudsen company and juices are, I will only use their products.
