It’s the Birthday girl here and today I am turning 27! Yay! I know I am still pretty young but 27, wow sometimes I feel like I am a lot younger than that. Sometimes lately I think someone is the same age as me but then they end up being like 4 year younger haha

Today I thought it would be fun to answer 27 questions about my family and I. I hope by the end you’ll feel like you know me and my family a little bit better.

  • Why is your blog named Sincerely Jean? Jean is a family name. My middle name is Jean, My Grandmothers first name is Jean, it’s also my mothers middle name and it’s both my sisters middle name! Cute huh?
  • Where were you born? I was born + raised in Las Vegas, NV
  • How did I meet my husband? I played volleyball in college and my husband played baseball in college. One of my teammates, who was married to one of Kai’s teamates, wanted to set us up on a date because he had just gotten off his mission. We went out, I totally fell in love with him! We dated for 9 months and were married after a year.
  • What college did you go to? Kai and I both went to Utah Valley University in Orem, Utah and played Division 1 sports there. It was so fun! I graduated with a Bachelors degree in Elementary Education.
  • Why did I start a blog? I first started a blog with my twin sisters because we thought it would be fun to have something together. They realized it wasn’t their passion anymore so I became the sole owner and I’m loving it even more!
  • What is the hardest part about it? I think finding time to do it all. I feel like I could do so much more with it but my number one job are my babies and being present for them.
  • What is the best part? I love sharing the sweetest things in my life with you guys! Its a hobby of mine which I am a big believer in moms doing something that they love for themselves. Also, being able to provide income for my family while staying at home has blessed our lives.
  • How is it being a boy mom? I love my boys so much but man some days are hard! My boys have lots and lots of energy which I will be glad for when they are older haha they keep me on my toes and there is never a dull moment in our home. I wouldn’t trade it for anything but I’m still hoping for a girl later in life haha
  • How old are your kids? Krew just turned 4 and Chet turns 2 in June.
  • How many kids do you think you’ll have? It varies by the day haha but if we are able to we are thinking around 4 or 5.
  • What does my husband do? So Kai is currently in dental school. Its a 4 year long program and we are about to enter into our last year. We are so excited.
  • What are his hours? The first 2 years of dental school were H. E. double hockey sticks! It was very stressful and we didn’t see him a whole lot but this last year was way better and we are hoping for the same with his last year.
  • Is he going to specialize? It depends on the day? haha we haven’t decided yet.
  • Do you know what you’ll do after dental school? We have a 4 year commitment with the military because Kai received a scholarship from them for school. We dont know where we will be yet but were excited for the adventure. If anyone has any tips for military life let me know!
  • Will you end up back in Vegas? Its hard to say, almost all of my family still lives here but I dont really picture raising my family in Vegas. But I do want to live close to both side of our parents and siblings. We will see in about 5 more years haha.
  • Where is my favorite places to shop? My top three favorite places to shop right now are Old Navy, Nordstrom Rack, and Zara.
  • Where are my favorite places to shop for my boys? Deffinetly Old Navy, Gap, and Target!
  • How do you keep your house in order?  I am far form perfect at this, some weeks we kill it and some weeks are just chaos but I recently made a cleaning schedule for myself and it has helped me so much! I should share it with you guys one of these days.
  • Do I wear hair extensions? Yes, I love hair extensions! I’m currently wearing the halo top by TK extensions.
  • What lens do I use? I use the Canon EF 50mm f/1.4 lens and I love it for my food photography.
  • Where would my dream vacation be? Probably to Bora Bora on a overwater bungalow! My husband says I would get bored after like 2 seconds though haha.
  • What is your favorite color? I love all bright colors but probably pink the most
  • What Church do you attend? I am LDS and I am proud of it! It has blessed my life so much. You can find more about it here.
  • What is your favorite treat? Well if you see my post Im sure you will know that I love chocolate! My number 1 is brownies but anything with fudge or peanut butter and I’m a goner lol.
  • What are your favorite hobbies? I love to workout (when my kids dont scream and cry when dropping them off at the day care) I love to read, shop, eat, and spend time with my family.
  • Do you travel a lot? On Kai’s breaks we usually take advantage and go on vacations. When Kai is in school I fly up to Washington where Kai is from to visit family. But it is no small task flying with my two boys haha.
  • Do you cut your kids hair? Most of the time yes, I do. I am learning as we go hehe. But sometimes when I dont want to force them to sit still I just take them in.

sincerely,
