BOO Pumpkin Candlesticks - Easy and cute Halloween craft! | www.sincerelyjean.com

Halloween is right around the corner and I am so excited!  I love to dress up and of course eat tons of candy!  When it comes to Halloween decorations, I am not really into the creepy stuff.  I stick with the cute and fun Halloween decorations.  These BOO pumpkin candlesticks are one of my favorite!  I love having them up!  The candlestick holders themselves are so versatile and you can use them for other decorations besides the pumpkins throughout the year.  Another great thing about this craft is that I got the pumpkins and candlestick holders from the dollar store!  Who doesn’t love inexpensive decorations?!

Supplies:

1) Five 4″ glass candlestick holders (I got them from my local dollar store but you can find similar ones from Amazon found HERE)

2) 3 Foam pumpkins (from my local dollar store)

3) Black cardstock

4) Burlap

5) Mod podge

6) Orange glitter spray paint (you can find it on Amazon HERE)

7) Brown paint

8) White paint and/or white spray paint

9) Hot glue gun

10) Scissors

1) You will want to do your painting first.  Paint the candlesticks white.  I painted them white with acrylic paint first and then spray painted them white.  The spray paint gives them a pretty finish.  Let them dry completely.

Paint the stem of your pumpkins brown.  Let them dry completely.  Then, spray paint the pumpkins with the orange glitter spray paint.  Let them dry completely.

2) Now it’s time to apply your letters to the pumpkins.  I cut my letters from black cardstock with my Silhouette machine using the “Christie” font.  Apply mod podge to the back of your letter and place it on the pumpkin.  While holding the letter in place, apply mod podge over the front of your letter.  Let the mod podge dry completely.

3) Hot glue 2 of the candlesticks together.  Do this twice.  You should have 1 left over for the middle pumpkin.  I like the uneven look so that is why I left one of the candlesticks by itself.

4) Cut three 15″x1 1/2″ pieces of burlap.  Tie them around the center of the candlesticks so that you cover the part that was hot glued.
