chocolate dipped peanut butter crackers - holiday - dessert - simple

Hey Sistas, Happy first day of December! I hope all of your Thanksgiving festivities were amazing and that you were able to spend time with family and friends. There is much to be thankful for this holiday season.  One thing I am particular grateful for are these super duper easy to make chocolate dipped peanut butter crackers. Every Christmas season my Aunt would bring over a basket full of goodies and these were one of the treats inside. They were my absolute favorite. One day I asked her what these amazing things were and how I could make them. I didn’t realize that it was so simple to make and still so delicious.

You all probably know by now that I am a lover of chocolate and peanut butter. It is my weakness but hey, at least I acknowledge that right?  These chocolate dipped peanut butter crackers in my opinion are one of the best little treats to give during the holidays if your looking to give a chocolate peanut butter dessert. I whipped a bunch of these up the other night in about 15 minutes while listening to Christmas music. Now that thanksgiving is over it on in our house full force. Have you guys decorated for Christmas yet? I always love pulling out my decor including my metal train set found here, it’s one of my favorite decorations.

Instructions
  1. Take your cracker and plop some peanut butter in the middle. Place second cracker on top and squish until pb reaches the ends.

  4. Pick it up with a fork and tap it against the side of the bowl to get ride of the access chocolate.
  5. Lay on parchment paper and stick in fridge until firm.

This only took three ingredients to make and I had one yummy treat ready to go. I didn’t have any Crisco shortening lying around so I put a little bit of vegetable oil in my chocolate and it worked great at thining it out. I topped it with a little bit of sprinkles that reminded me of snow. Here in Vegas we have to substitute for the real stuff! My family sure did loves these and I am sure we will be making more this holiday season.
