Hello Sistas! My due date is getting closer and closer! I wish I could say it has gone by so fast but it really does take a long time to make a baby hehe. I am getting so excited for our little boy to come soon. We are trying to prepare our son Krew for his arrival. He has started to understand that there is a baby in my tummy. Now every time he sees a pregnant women he points and yells BABY!
But since my due date is nearing, I am starting to get my diaper bag ready. I thought I would share my top must-haves to always carry in your diaper bag.
- Diaper Bag: I absolutely love my Petunia Pickle Bottom diaper bag. I have this one here. It has a shoulder strap that is adjustable but it also can be turned into a backpack. In my opinion you should absolutely love your diaper bad and splurge a little if you have too because you use it every day. I choose grey because its a neutral and can go with each gender and with most outfits I wear. Also the grey doesn’t show as much dirt.
- Huggies Baby Wipes Clutch Case: Love these, they keep the wipes moist and are super cute. They come in different colors and they are refillable.
- Munchkin Diaper Bag Dispenser: These are disposable trash bags that are so helpful when you need them for dirty diapers or a blowout onesie. They clip right on to your diaper bag!
- Pacifier Case: Best invention. Have you ever been digging around in your diaper bag for the binki because your child is loosing it and you can’t find it! Happens all the time to me and its so frustrating. Problem solved. This case attaches to your diaper bag and wahla, you always now where it it. Except when I don’t put it back in it’s case and I learn my lesson when I’m digging through my bag franticly.
- Onesie: I always carry an extra onesie in my bag for any kind of situation where I need to change them. I like to stick to white because I know that it will usually match the outfit. But these onesies are my favorite, they are Carters brand. I love them because they are long and skinny.
- Ready to Feed Formula: This was a total game changer for me. With my last baby I exclusive breast fed. Many times I found myself in the car or in other places where I couldnt nurse him and I had forgotten to pack my pumped milk. He would scream the whole way home or wherever we were. It was so stressful for me. Then I decided to put a ready to go formula bottle in my diaper bag. I always made sure it wasn’t left in the sun or swapped it out if i hadn’t used it and it was getting old. But if I ever found my self in a position where I couldn’t feed him I would give him one of these to help hold him over. It really was the best thing!
- Swaddle Blanket: It’s always good to carry a blanket with you. aden + anais are my fav.
- Chapstick for Momma:I always have to have chapstick on hand. Love this kind.
- Nursing Cover: Always have to have one of these on hand!
- Snacks and Water for momma: I am like an empty pit when I nurse. I am alway hungry! I try to keep healthy snacks like granola bars and almonds in there at all times. Also water, I try and drink a lot of water while nursing as well.
- Tide to Go Pen: If the mess on your clothes is even salvageable these babies come in handy. Sometimes the spit up is just to much to save!
- Burp cloths: Make sure to remember to switch them out after you use them. Sometimes I would forget and ughhh they would be smelly.
- Teething Toy: They can be used for entertainment or when your baby starts teething they become handy.
- Hand Sanitizer: I like the quick access to clean hands and the case can strap anywhere on your bag to make it easily accessible.
- Socks: I always like keeping a pair on hand just in case. I have tried a couple of different types of socks and I love these ones.
- Rash Cream: Obviously you need diapers in your diaper bag but don’t forget the rash cream.
Sincerely,
patti jean
