Chalk Paint Recipe:
1. 2 Cups any type of interior paint. Choose whatever color!
2. 2 Tablespoons Plaster of Paris. You can buy it HERE.
3. 2 Tablespoons of hot water
4. Mix together well and your done!
Make sure your area is clean before you start painting. Start by doing the first coat, use any brush that you would like. I like using the Wooster Shortcut 2 inch brush that you can find HERE. I usually use 3 coats of paint when I do chalk paint. To get that professional smooth look with your paint jobs I like to use a sponge roller. I just roll it over after every coat. Work in small sections. I like using this one HERE.

I like your color choice on this one. Thanks for the recipe for homemade chalk paint. I’ve never used it, and I wasn’t sure of the luxury of it. I’ve seen it on so many blogs. I had no idea you didn’t need to sand or prime when using it. Nice work!

Pinning and visiting from The Crowned Goat Link Party – what a cute idea! Sold a desk like this for $50 about a year ago and am kicking myself right now!!!

Thanks for the chalk recipe! It’s so expensive otherwise. I love the turnout.

I’m on the lookout for a desk. I want to organize a nice, soothing workplace for myself ( I’ll let hubbs use it once or twice ;)).
I don’t know if I’m going vintage, but I sure do love your desk transformation.
And I agree- chalk paint is the best!
