DIY Pallet Fall Sign

Fall sign
I’m so excited to share this project with you guys! I think this one might even be my favorite fall decor that I have in my house. I love fall decor so much because you can leave it up for 3 months! Its like the only holiday you can really get away with leaving all your decorations up for that long.

This fall pallet sign is SO easy to make. We had some pallets in our back yard that we found for free on craigslist awhile back. I took one of the single wood pallets and cut it into three even pieces. If you don’t have pallets this project can work on almost any kind of wood. The pallet was already four inches wide and I cut them to be 22 inches high. So the measurements ended up being 22 x12.

Once I had my 3 pieces, I took two pieces of thin wood that were a tad bit smaller then the width but it still covered all three pieces. Using wood glue, I glued a piece of wood across the top of the three pieces and at the bottom. Let it dry.

Flip it over to the front and paint the top and sides white. I used my go to white paint call creamy white. Let dry.

While I was waiting for it to dry I used my silhouette to stencil our the letters FALL. I used Times New Roman at 600.

I didn’t have any vinyl so I just decided to stencil the letters. Once the paint was dry on my  wood I placed my stencil letters where I wanted them and placed some tape down so they wouldn’t move. I then painted the letters with black acrylic paint and added a couple of drops of brown to it. Once that was dry I sanded it really lightly all over. And Wahla! You have a very cute Fall sign. So easy right? and it adds the perfect touch to my home.

Thanks for stopping by!
