Sistas!
Can you believe that Halloween is just around the corner? Halloween happens to be one of my favorite holidays! This year, you don’t have to worry about spending tons of time or money on your costume because I am bringing you a simple DIY Pineapple Costume Tutorial! You know that my two sisters and I, are all about keeping it simple.
I start planning my family costumes early each year because I just get so excited! In 2014, we did a Star Wars theme: My husband was Anakin Skywalker, my dog was Yoda, and I was Queen Amidala. In 2015, we did The Grinch. My husband was the Grinch, my dog was Max the Dog, and I was Cindy Lou Who. So, as you can tell, I absolutely love dressing up because it is too much fun!
My husband is so sweet to actually dress up with me, and my dog has no choice hehe. This year, I was debating between a few costume options, but I ended up choosing to have my Halloween costume be a cute Pineapple! I am so excited! My husband is going to be a farmer and I bought the cutest watermelon outfit for my dog HERE. I can’t wait.
So, here are the simple steps to creating your own Pineapple costume/headband.
You can watch the video as well!

- Cut Three 1″ x 4″ cardstock strips. Cut them into pointy ends to look like stems
- Glue the bottom of the strips to the toilet paper roll, alternating 3″ and 4″ strips
- Cut Six 1″ x 2″ cardstock strips. Cut them into pointy ends to look like stems
- Glue the bottom of the strips to the toilet paper roll (only put glue on about half of the strip)
