Easy DIY Tissue Paper Tassel

Today we are showing you how to make a super easy, CHEAP, and cute tissue paper tassel!  We literally spent 1 DOLLAR on this! If you have tissue paper and any kind of string lying around. You’ll be able to do it for Free. We like free! 🙂

Materials Needed:

  • Tissue Paper (We got the gold from Michaels. Don’t forget your 40% off coupon.)
  • Twine (or any kind of string)
  • Hot Glue
  • Scissors

 

PictureTake tissue paper and fold Once Length-wise.

Fold Once Width-wise. Fold at Top.

Fold one more time Width-wise. Fold at Top.

Cut small strips upward, leaving about 2in at top. Again make sure the fold is at the top.

Unfold once and cut down the middle. Making 2 Pieces.

Take one of the halves and unfold it again, you should have 2 sections. Then take the second halve and unfold it again. One of them will need to be cut in half lengthwise to make 2 more sections. You should end up with 4 separate sections.

Roll up the middle and then twist it tight.

Take your tassel and fold it in half twisting the sides in opposite directions until it makes a little loop at the top. Put a dot of glue from your hot glue gun and twist the two sides around each other.
Then string it. YOUR DONE!
We choose to use pink, gold and white tissue paper for our tassel. You could choose any colors that matches your color scheme. We hope you enjoy!
