Holiday Express Candy Train

It is that time of year again! I just love the holidays and everything it brings with it. Being with family, creating traditions, and loving others are some of the ways the holiday season brings me joy.

We love creating holiday houses each year made out of Honey Maid Graham Crackers. This year we decided to made a Holiday Express Candy Train. The boys LOVED it! I’m sure they loved mostly eating all the candy hehe but we had so much fun creating memories together as a family.

What are your traditions? If you’re looking for a new one to start with your family, grab some Honey Maid Graham Crackers at Walmart and build your own holiday dream houses.

The first thing that I did was build the body of my train out of Honey Maid Graham Crackers and icing. I let that sit for awhile before the boys decorated it so that it would hold against their little fingers.

Then we got to decorating! We put on one of our favorite festive holiday movies and got to work. We used OREO’s for our wheels on the trains and gumdrops for our smaller wheels on the box cars. Then we used chocolate candies in red and green all throughout the train. We filled the box cars with some of our favorite treats, like marshmallows, chocolate candies, and english toffee. Those box cars didn’t stay full for long.

We finished it off by sprinkling dried coconut flakes all over for a snow filled landscape and then used red licorice to create the tracks. We loved the turnout! Our Holiday Express Candy Train easily became one of our favorite creations to date. I would love to see your creations + hear about your family traditions. I hope this holiday season is filled with happiness and thanksgiving.

sincerely,
