Holiday Gift in a Jar - Hot Chocolate

Christmas is coming! Gifts in a jar make a fantastic present because they are homemade, thoughtful, and super cute. Here is an inexpensive gift that anyone would love and it is so easy to make. This jar comes with hot chocolate mix and marshmallows for 4 servings. This holiday treat will warm them up and is very easy for them to make, by just adding a couple of ingredients that they would definitely already have at their house.

SUPPLIES:

– Unsweetened cocoa powder

– Granulated sugar

-Peppermint (optional)

-Mini Marshmallows

-Small Mason Jar

INSTRUCTIONS

– Add 8 tablespoons of cocoa powder to the bottom of the mason jar. Make sure that it sits flat and even.

– Add 8 tablespoons of sugar on top of the cocoa powder. Make sure this sits flat and even as well.

– Add peppermint (optional)

– Add mini marshmallows to fill the top

– Close the mason jar and decorate (I just used twine)

– Make sure to add on a card for their instructions:

Hot chocolate for 4: Combine cocoa powder and sugar in a large microwave safe bowl. Add 1 cup of water. Stir. Heat in microwave for 30 seconds. Add 6 cups of milk. Stir. Heat in microwave for 90 seconds. Add 1 teaspoon vanilla extract. Stir.
