Yay for summertime! Oh I just love summer and all of the fun activities that we get to do. Summertime also means school break, whoohoo! How fun is this “summer snack bar” that I put together using Kellogg’s Rice Krispy Treats™, Famous Amos® cookies, and CHEEZE-IT® crackers. Let’s just say my boys are in heaven and this summer is going to be a blast!
Okay, have you guys been to Sam’s Club lately, they have the best variety of snack foods! I love shopping there because I can get all of our favorite snacks in one stop. They have great prices and it is so much more convenient. Every time I come out of there my boys are so excited from all the yummy stuff we found. As a busy mom always on the go, I like to have grab and go snacks stocked up for the littles. Oh and you can make your trip a breeze by ordering these products for Club Pickup.
I had so much fun creating this snack bar! I had some metal tins that I knew would be perfect for the snacks, and I used them for different toppings, silverware, etc. They are fun to have around. Then I placed my chicken wire window pane and my letter board behind it. I decided it would be fun to spell out “Hello Summer” with it. I had chalkboard labels that I wrote out summer snack bar. I placed my mini handles and bowls for an easy and fun way to serve. We have a lot of movie nights and play dates at our house so we love setting up our snack bar! It’s perfect for the littles to grab a snack while they play or snuggle up to watch a movie. It adds a bit more fun to summer time.
I made sure I mixed some salty and sweet snacks in my snack bar. I love the little Rice Krispies Treats, they are the perfect size for kids. Of course I got my chocolate mixed into it with my Famous Amos chocolate chip cookies. As I am writing this I am actually snacking on them now. They are so yum! Then of course my salty CHEEZ-IT® crackers, these are great for just keeping in my diaper bag for when the boys are hungry.
