Hey Sistas! Are you looking for the perfect Valentines treat? Well these Valentines heart shaped cake bites might just be it. They are super moist, chocolatey, and delicious.
Valentines Heart Shaped Cake Bites
Ingredients
1 box white cake mix (made with the ingredients on back of the box)
Couple drops of pink food dye
1/2-3/4 can of a 16 oz. can of cream cheese frosting
White chocolate almond bark
Red sprinkles
Instructions
- Make cake mix according to the directions and ingredients from the back of your cake box.
- Add a couple of pink food dye drops until you like the shade of pink. Cook according to the box directions.
- Once cooked let it cool completely.
- Place cooked cake in a bowl and with your mixer, mix it until it turns into fine crumbs.
- Add in your 1/2-3/4 can of cream cheese frosting or until it is the right consistency to stick together. You don't want it to gooey but just enough to stick together. Its mostly a personal preference.
- Roll out the mixture with a rolling pin about 1/2 in.
- Using a heart shaped cookie cutter, cut out cake bites and set on a cookie sheet lined with parchment paper. Place in fridge for about an hour.
- Once the cake bites are firmed up, melt your chocolate in a shallow bowl. Place cake bite in a bowl and with a fork scoop it up and tap the access on the side of the bowl.
- Place on parchment paper and immediately pour your sprinkles on. Once finished with all the cake bites place in fridge until ready to serve.
- I like to take the cake bites out about 15 minutes before serving to thaw them out a bit.
I love that these are bite sized and I can just pop them in my mouth. My family loved them and I am glad they got eaten up really fast before I ate to many of them. These are perfect for you next Valentines Day party.
Sincerely,
patti jean
