Pumpkin Pudding Trifle

This pumpkin pudding trifle is perfect for fall and especially for get togethers like Thanksgiving! We can’t believe its already here. Thats why today we bring you such a yummy dessert that has pumpkin cake, pumpkin spice pudding, whip cream, and heath bar all in one. 

This dish is definitely worth trying and be prepared to not have any leftovers after the party hehe.

Pumpkin Trifle

For the Cake
  1. 1 Box spice cake
  2. 1 Box instant pumpkin spice pudding mix
  3. 8 oz sour cream
  4. 3 eggs
  5. 1/2 C oil
  6. 1/2 C milk
  7. 1/2 C water
  8. 1 tsp cinnamon
  9. 1/2 tsp pumpkin spice
For the Pudding
  1. 2 Boxes of instant pumpkin spice pudding mix
  2. 4 C milk
For the whipping cream
  1. (use store bought or make your own)
  2. 2 C heavy whipping cream
  3. 2 tsp cinnamon
  4. 3 tbsp maple syrup
Toppings
  1. Heath bar pieces
Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 350.
  2. Combine all ingredients for cake and cook for about 20-25 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean. Let cake cool.
  3. While cake is cooling, prepare pudding. Combine the 2 pudding mixes with 4 cups of milk and whisk until combined and let set. (same directions that are on the back of the box.)
  4. Make whipping cream, in a bowl with a whisk attachment, whip the heavy cream on medium high until soft peaks form.
  5. Add your maple syrup a tbls at a time.
  6. Add cinnamon.
  7. (note: If you stick your bowl and whisk attachment in freezer for about 10-15 mins before you start it helps keep the whipping cream cold)
  8. Get your trifle dish ready to go.
  9. Crumple half your cake up and place at bottom of trifle.
  10. Then add half of your pudding mixture.
  11. Layer with half of your whipping cream.
  12. Repeat all layers.
  13. You should end with whipping cream on the top.
  14. Sprinkle the top with heath bar pieces.
