This tutorial really has 3 parts: dress, shoes, and hair.  Let’s go in that order.  I am NOT a pro at sewing.  I can pretty much sew in a straight line and that is really all you need to make this dress!  I kept it very simple because she is only going to be wearing it a few times.  Check the previous page for the list of supplies.

Tinker Bell Dress Tutorial

DIY Tinker Bell Dress - perfect Halloween costume for toddlers! | www.sincerelyjean.com

1.Fold your fabric in half.  Find a dress that is about the same length that you want the Tinker Bell dress to be.  Place that dress over your material (top of the dress on the opposite side of the fold of your fabric) and mark the sides and bottom with pins.

2.Use your fabric shears to cut a line from top to bottom that slightly flares out.

3.Mark 4 inches from the top and cut a curved line for the arm holes.

4.You will have two pieces of fabric since you folded it.  Pin those pieces together on the side.

5.Use your sewing machine to sew a straight line on both of the sides.

6.Use hot glue to attached the white elastic to the top of the dress.  I attached them at the very end of the neck line.   Each piece of elastic was 5 inches long.

7.Use your fabric shears to cut triangles out of the bottom so it looks jagged like Tinker Bell’s dress.

Tinker Bell Shoes Tutorial

1.Paint the shoes with green paint using your foam brush.  Do about 4 coats and let them dry completely in between coats.

2.Use your hot glue gun to attach the large white pom poms to the top of each shoe.
