Happy Halloween everyone!  I love dressing up for Halloween!  My husband is not the biggest fan of dressing up but when we were engaged we decided that every other year he would dress up with me.  This year is my year!  We went through several ideas for family costumes and finally decided on the Flintstones.  It is my daughters first Halloween and I was so excited to make her first costume!  I always make my own costumes because it is much cheaper and much more fun!  This tutorial is going to focus on her Pebbles Flintstone costume.   YABBA DABBA DOO!!!

Here are the supplies that you will need:

1. Sewing Machine

2. Lime green fleece (I got mine on sale at Joann’s for $2.99/yard!)  My daughter is about 2 feet tall so I bought 1/2 a yard for the dress which was plenty.  I actually had quite a bit left over.

3. One 9×12 sheet of black felt

4. Cardboard

5. White paint

6. Elastic hair tie

7. Fabric Shears

8. Hot glue gun

What a great and easy costume! Even beginning sewers could tackle this one. I love that you used a fabric that didn’t need to be hemmed.

I am co-hosting the #HomeMattersParty linky party this month and would love to have you drop by for a visit. The next party opens midnight Friday. http://alaynascreations.co/blog/
